The 9th Jahorina Economic Forum, titled “WESTERN BALKANS 2030: Integration, Innovation, Sustainable Growth,” was held on Jahorina from May 10 to 13, 2026, attended by more than 600 participants from a large number of countries in the region and Europe.

As a leading regional event in the field of economics, the forum brought together top experts, decision-makers, and business leaders – heads of state, ministers, representatives of state institutions from across the region, successful entrepreneurs from international and regional companies, distinguished scientists, and university professors.

Discussions confirmed that regional integration is key to progress and that it is necessary to continue working on connecting the economies of the Western Balkans. One of the key conclusions of the forum is that the region must create a more stable business environment to attract investment.

Special attention was also paid to the role of science and higher education, on which our esteemed Professor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Marko Milić, had the opportunity to take an active part in the discussion on this topic with eminent domestic and foreign scientists and university professors.

Professor Milić’s participation represents a significant contribution to scientific research work and the promotion of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management of the University Privredna akademija, Brčko District, as well as confirmation of active involvement in contemporary academic and professional trends.

We thank Professor Milić for the successful promotion of our University.
